Finally! It’s winter here. I’m pretty happy about this new beautiful snow. I was delighted to take in a hike in it at Quarry Park which is right out my studio door. So blessed I am. It’s this wonderful park right in the middle of the city. I like to call it my cocoon park because that is what you feel like when in it. Oh! The sound of the snow under me feet and everything so bright and happy with this new white coat over them. The first greeting I get is Bear, the BIG bernese mountain dog of the neighborhood who is loving the snow, like eating it, throwing on himself and lying in it like its his couch. What a big big love bug he is. Then I begin to take in all the frosting on the trees. After a snowfall like this, to me that’s exactly what it looks like. Imagine having that big of a paintbrush?! Then I was moved to dance and just deeply take in the amazement of this snowfall beauty 360 degrees around me in the park. I did get love from 2 other dogs too and the friendly woodpecker that’s usually is about the same spot way up on this hill that overlooks the neighborhood on the outskirts of the park. I hiked back to my studio for my next student of the day and I was filled up to the brim.
What fills you in the winter months?
